A message from Cynthia Wilson Our Spiritual Leader Aloha Everyone! What fun it was last week celebrating all of our fabulous volunteers! It’s a good thing virtue is its own reward because we know our tribute to you is just a tiny part of the good you deserve! The truth is - THIS CHURCH COULD NOT RUN WITHOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS. In the last year I’ve worked so closely with so many of you and I know first-hand the value of your contribution. Thanks too to all those who helped out, to Ron and Scott for providing sandwiches again this year, and to all those who joined in the fun. I’m thrilled to say we have an action-packed month coming up with great speakers and special presentations. Be sure to read the entire mesage or check out our website calendar for full details. This Saturday the ever popular and inspiring Rev. Heidi Alfrey (from my home church in Kansas City!) will be here to share her wisdom and joy. Heidi used to live on Maui and has been a long time friend of the church so we are excited to have her back. She’ll be our guest speaker and will show the movie, “May I Be FRANK”. Check out the details below. You don’t want to miss this! This film is getting rave reviews all over the country and inspiring thousands to change and heal their lives. Thanks to all of you who showed up for our TOUCHSTONE presentation, Devotional Healing last night. It amazes me how God calls on all the right and perfect people to be together in the circle. Diane Evans is off-island again so in this moment we are not sure if she’ll be available to play the Tibetan Singing Prayer Bowls next Wednesday the 8th. We will however have a presentation of some kind, so join us and let the perfect plan unfold. We haven’t had a response in the last few weeks to our Partners in Visioning Prayer program prior to Touchstone. For now we’re going to suspend the program unless we hear from congregants asking us to do otherwise. Please know you can always come to the church before Touchstone starts and simply sit in the Silence if that serves you. Thanks to all of you who showed your support for our church to (potentially) be in the newly created Unity Pacific Rim Alliance, or UPRA. We have forwarded the petitions with your signatures on to Rev. Sky St. John who is heading up this movement. Next week the charming and gifted Alan Cohen will grace us with his divine presence and special message. Afterwards he will be available to sign copies of his practical and powerful new book, A Daily dose of Sanity: A Five-Minute Soul Recharge for Every Day of the Year. Our shuttle drivers are here to serve you. And, you may wish to come early to get a good seat as we anticipate a large crowd. We continue to be blessed as a community, thanks to God – and thanks to you. Remember YOU and YOUR THOUGHTS have power and influence. Let’s join together in SEPTEMBER and use the following affirmation~ With God, ALL THINGS are possible. And we remember friends, God is love. As we stay attuned to God, the love in our lives unfolds in ways too numerous and beautiful to imagine. With sincere love and dedication, Cynthia |
